Join our dynamic team as a Bookkeeper / Administrative Assistant, where your expertise will play a vital role in our organization's success. This fully remote position requires candidates to reside within 50 miles of Albuquerque for occasional in-person activities. We are looking for a meticulous and organized individual, adept in bookkeeping and administrative functions, who excels in multitasking and is committed to accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Management

  • Oversee accounts receivable processes, ensuring effective management and resolution of customer payments and discrepancies.
  • Manage accounts payable duties, ensuring timely processing of vendor payments and tracking of expenses.
  • Prepare and dispatch invoices accurately and punctually.
  • Support debt collection efforts and maintain communication with overdue accounts.
  • Generate key financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Perform bank reconciliations to uphold financial integrity.
  • Administer corporate credit card settlements and manage gross receipts tax filings in accordance with regulations.
  • Ensure comprehensive accuracy and compliance in all financial transactions.
  • Provide requested operational and financial reports to leadership.

Administrative Support

  • Assist in human resources activities such as posting job vacancies and pre-screening candidates.
  • Conduct initial interviews to evaluate candidate qualifications.
  • Maintain well-organized records and documentation, both electronically and in physical formats.
  • Execute general administrative tasks as necessary.

Required Skills

  • Proficient in QuickBooks and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and juggle multiple tasks with efficiency.
  • Experience in collections and a solid understanding of collection procedures.
  • Familiarity with human resources operations is an advantage.
  • Prior experience in a remote work environment is preferred.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is essential; an Associate's degree is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and financial management.
