Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts & estates.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams on tax preparation and strategic planning.
- Assist clients with tax planning and special projects to achieve their financial objectives.
- Conduct thorough final reviews of tax returns/forms, recommending edits prior to filing.
- Research and resolve tax or accounting-related issues with diligence.
- Cultivate and maintain robust client relationships, ensuring exceptional service.
- Represent and assist clients during IRS, state, and governmental inquiries or audits.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards and state and federal regulations.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with a proactive approach to tasks.
- Highly motivated team player dedicated to collective success.
- Proficient in tax and accounting software (Lacerte and QuickBooks preferred), as well as MS Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe.
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in tax preparation and research, particularly in income tax returns.
- At least 1 year of experience with final tax return sign-off.
- Active CPA designation or EA certification is required.
