Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts & estates.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams for tax preparation and planning.
- Assist clients with tax planning and special projects aimed at achieving their financial objectives.
- Conduct thorough final reviews of tax returns/forms, providing suggestions for edits prior to filing.
- Research and resolve various tax or accounting-related issues.
- Cultivate and maintain robust relationships with clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and teamwork with other financial professionals.
- Represent and support clients during IRS, state, and other governmental inquiries or audits.
- Ensure compliance with professional standards and adherence to state and federal regulatory obligations.
- Excellent time management skills with an ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail with a proactive work approach.
- Highly motivated to contribute to a team-oriented environment and collective success.
- Proficient in tax and accounting software (Lacerte and QuickBooks preferred), as well as MS Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax preparation and research, ideally with a focus on income tax returns.
- At least 1 year of experience in final tax return sign-off.
- Active CPA designation or EA certification required.
