Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Senior IT Asset Data Analyst to become an integral part of our dynamic team. This position focuses on the strategic oversight and enhancement of IT asset data, requiring a robust analytical approach and a commitment to ensuring the accuracy and health of asset records in alignment with organizational standards. The ideal candidate will excel at identifying trends, addressing policy exceptions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to propose actionable enhancements to data and processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and assess the quality of asset data across all software and hardware assets, including capital assets, utilizing ServiceNow.
  • Identify critical data sources and implement repeatable processes for detecting data discrepancies, ensuring compliance, and uncovering trends.
  • Employ data visualization techniques to effectively communicate trends, issues, and opportunities to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with technical teams, business analysts, and process owners to articulate findings and assist in developing effective remediation strategies.
  • Design and generate comprehensive reports, encompassing compliance, key performance indicators (KPIs), and trend analyses.
  • Contribute to ongoing initiatives aimed at continuous improvement in data management and processes.
  • Support enhancements in IT asset management, including the automation of inventory and asset tracking systems.
  • Play a role in shaping and refining the IT asset management (ITAM) program by identifying deficiencies and influencing governance standards.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in data mining, statistical analysis, and mathematics.
  • Proficient in working with large datasets utilizing MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MS Power BI.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, particularly HAM Pro, SAM Pro, and CMDB; experience with Splunk and Power BI is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Understanding of the System/Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of finance and procurement processes, including accounts payable, depreciation, net book value, and fixed assets.
  • A commitment to continuous process improvement.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience as a Data Analyst or Data Scientist.
