Job Overview

We are seeking a proficient Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Analyst to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role is essential in driving project success through the application of Earned Value Management and Project Controls best practices. The EVMS Analyst will contribute significantly to our organizational goals by ensuring meticulous planning, scheduling, budgeting, financial analysis, cost control, and risk management. Your expertise will be critical in aligning our budgetary and scheduling practices with industry standards, accounting principles, and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee Project Controls for Capital and O&M projects, ensuring adherence to Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
• Administer Primavera P6: conduct security audits, manage user access, and maintain code fields.
• Generate monthly project reports utilizing EVM tools and manage baseline changes in the EVM system.
• Execute the annual budget cycle by reviewing and validating baseline schedules, ensuring timely loading of fiscal year budgets into the financial system.
• Collaborate between Project Controls and Business Planning teams to enhance project planning effectiveness.
• Analyze project performance trends to identify areas for improvement and propose solutions.
• Lead special projects with minimal oversight, demonstrating your leadership capabilities.
  
  

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI, and PowerPoint.
• Strong grasp of planning, financial management, budgeting practices, and risk management principles.
• Ability to produce high-quality work products with limited supervision.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging a diverse audience from department managers to senior leaders.
• Team-oriented mindset with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
• In-depth knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) methodologies and Primavera P6 Professional/administration.
• Capability to function as both a service provider and a controller.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience in financial/accounting/budgeting/risk management (preferably in a large organization), or
• Associate's degree with 9 years of relevant experience, or
• High school diploma/GED with 11 years of relevant experience.
• Formal training in Primavera P6 Professional and certifications from the Project Management Institute (PMP, PBA, SP, CAPM, or RMP) are desirable.
• Experience within the utility industry or nuclear power generation is a plus.
