Role Overview

As a Finance Manager, you will be instrumental in delivering essential financial planning and analysis support to our portfolio of high-growth startups. This role involves close collaboration with senior finance leaders and clients to identify their unique business needs. You will be responsible for creating detailed financial models that will guide their strategic growth initiatives. This position allows you to engage with companies at various stages of development, from Seed to Series C, enabling you to refine financial operations and facilitate data-driven decision-making. You will take charge of finance forecasts, budgets, and analyses, while also actively participating in significant strategic projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain comprehensive financial models tailored to diverse business types, including e-commerce, technology, consumer products, and professional services.
• Generate performance reports and custom financial and operational KPI dashboards, monitoring and reporting on KPIs monthly.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to assess and validate monthly financial performance.
• Perform monthly variance analysis, comparing actuals against budgets and adjusting forecasts as necessary.
• Identify opportunities for additional analytical and modeling projects to enhance client value beyond standard budgeting activities.
• Provide insights and strategic advice grounded in industry best practices to optimize client outcomes, improve processes, reduce costs, and drive growth.
• Leverage data analysis to reveal strategic insights and discern key business trends.
• Assist clients during fundraising by constructing investor-facing financial models and overseeing the financial diligence process.
• Mentor and guide the Financial Analyst team to foster internal growth and enhance FP&A competencies.
  
  

Required Skills

• 4-6 years of experience in finance, including at least 2 years in investment banking and/or consulting, and 2 years of FP&A or strategic finance experience within a technology or high-growth company.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as a team player, coupled with a positive work ethic.
• Proficiency in advanced financial modeling and presentation skills.
• Strong grasp of financial principles and expanding expertise in accounting practices.
• Capacity to create intricate financial forecasts, conduct detailed variance analysis, and present insights that inform business decisions.
• Comfortable working with data and navigating ambiguity, along with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities.
• Exceptional communication skills to simplify complex concepts and provide actionable recommendations.
• Highly organized with the capability to manage multiple client workstreams and meet deadlines consistently.
• Passionate about mentoring and sharing knowledge to support the development of others in the FP&A field.
