Key Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive accounting functions, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, general ledger, and financial reporting.
- Prepare and present precise monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Oversee the preparation and submission of incurred cost proposals in compliance with DCAA guidelines.
- Develop, implement, and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to comply with GAAP and government regulations.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local government reporting mandates and tax filings.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to facilitate informed decision-making by senior management.
- Offer guidance on contractual matters, risk management, and government regulations.
- Identify and resolve issues pertaining to contract administration and proposals, recommending strategic solutions.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management, including at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity.
- Substantial experience with federal government contracting is preferred.
- Proven track record in preparing financial statements and managing month-end, year-end, and contract closeout processes.
