Key Responsibilities
- Address inquiries related to premium invoicing from both internal and external stakeholders.
- Examine premium payment discrepancies and provide actionable recommendations.
- Investigate member premium concerns and propose effective solutions.
- Construct SQL queries to reconcile revenue streams and ensure the accuracy of member accounts.
- Resolve payment disputes and guarantee the prompt application of funds to member accounts.
- Collaborate with vendors regarding billing notifications and member communications.
- Work with vendors for necessary system adjustments and business requirements.
- Analyze refund requests and execute member refunds.
- Validate broker commission payments for precision.
- Prepare month-end financial reports and journal entries.
- Interpret regulatory mandates related to premium billing and revenue reconciliation.
- Serve as a trusted resource and exemplify our organizational values.
- Implement process improvement methodologies in everyday tasks.
- Perform additional duties as required to support operational objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of healthcare premium billing processes.
- Proficient understanding of accounting principles.
- Expertise in SQL Server query development.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities.
- Keen attention to detail.
- Capacity to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
- A minimum of three (3) years of experience in premium billing, reconciliation, and/or reporting.
- Previous experience supporting monthly financial reporting alongside other finance teams.
- Experience in managing large datasets and developing SQL queries.
- Prior managed care exposure related to commercial products is essential.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
