Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead various facets of Sales & Use Tax, including research, process enhancement, and data analysis.
- Conduct comprehensive research on relevant tax legislation and prepare thorough documentation of findings and their tax implications.
- Monitor and interpret legislative and regulatory changes pertinent to tax compliance, effectively communicating updates.
- Collaborate closely with Finance and Accounting departments on tax and accounting issues.
- Identify and implement innovative technologies and process improvements to optimize tax workflows.
- Apply best practices and insights to propose enhancements in tax processes.
- Manage external tax audits from various jurisdictions, preparing responses to information requests and notices.
- Oversee multiple projects, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables in collaboration with third parties.
- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
- 5 years of experience in Sales & Use Tax (Indirect Tax) is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong tax research and analytical abilities, with a proficiency in interpreting complex regulations.
- Familiarity with general ledger and financial systems.
- A problem-solving orientation with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience with automated tax systems (OneSource is preferred).
- CPA, MST, or JD credentials are advantageous.
