Key Responsibilities
- Develop and obtain approval for business cases for new initiatives, including stakeholder analysis, cost-benefit assessments, and project timeline estimations.
- Lead medium to large-scale projects characterized by moderate to high complexity and risk.
- Manage interdependencies spanning multiple departments and external organizations.
- Collaborate with senior executives, IT divisions, business units, and external partners to clarify project requirements and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Work in close partnership with business stakeholders, IT teams, and vendors to guarantee effective project execution.
- Provide guidance, direction, and oversight to project teams and vendor activities, while reporting progress to senior leadership.
- Collaborate with vendors to monitor project milestones, recognize potential risks, and devise strategies to alleviate delays.
- Ensure vendor deliverables meet quality standards and secure necessary approvals through effective vendor management.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project management documentation in accordance with PMI's PMBOK standards and internal methodologies.
- Oversee daily project functions, including budget management, risk assessment, and timeline tracking, ensuring adherence to scope and budgetary limits.
- Assist in procurement processes by drafting RFPs, Statements of Work, and other pertinent documentation, while supporting bid evaluations and contract negotiations.
- Cultivate robust relationships with internal and external stakeholders, fostering smooth communication and collaboration across all workstreams.
- 10 years of extensive project management experience, particularly in leading large-scale automation projects.
- Demonstrated success in delivering projects within defined scope, budget, and timelines.
- Strong decision-making capabilities, adept at balancing strategic priorities with resource availability.
- Hands-on experience in managing project risks, budgets, schedules, quality assurance, testing, and communication.
- Proven experience with low-code platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or ServiceNow (3 years preferred).
- Outstanding leadership, facilitation, presentation, team-building, and change management skills.
- Experience in healthcare or state government sectors is advantageous.
- Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid software development methodologies.
- Experience in vendor management for medium to large IT projects.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Project Server, MS Office, Teams, and SharePoint (8 years preferred).
- Background in business case development, cost-benefit analysis, and market analysis.
- Experience in healthcare, particularly in areas such as behavioral health, developmental disabilities, or substance use, is highly preferred.
