Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the EHR Program Director, EHR PMO Manager, Application Manager, and fellow project managers to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of activities.
- Assist in formulating business cases for approval by the Information Technology Board and Governance (ITGB).
- Act as the primary liaison for communication between the Client and the Office of the State Chief Information Officer (CIO), Department of Information Technology, and the DIT/Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO).
- Leverage your experience in Health Information Technology (HIT) projects, particularly in clinical information systems and healthcare application interoperability.
- Apply PMI standards for project management, utilizing both Waterfall and Agile methodologies as needed.
- Develop and sustain detailed project plans that adhere to state and client IT project management methodologies.
- Oversee project scope, schedule, and quality within your specific application areas.
- Provide in-depth knowledge and expertise in IT project management, budgeting, quality assurance methodologies, and standards.
- Support IT procurement and vendor/contract management.
- Offer guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring clear expectations and effective resolution of challenges.
- Proactively identify and manage risks, documenting solutions and tracking progress to ensure projects remain on course.
- Minimum of 7 years of project management experience.
- At least 6 years of experience in EHR/Health IT training.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities effectively for a minimum of 3 years.
- Strong leadership and communication skills demonstrated over 3 years.
- Excellent organizational skills with at least 3 years of experience.
- Ability to meet deadlines while adhering to schedules, with a minimum of 3 years in practice.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, refined over 3 years.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, MS SharePoint, and other project management tools, with at least 7 years of experience.
- Experience with state government processes is highly desired, with a minimum of 6 years in the field.
- A bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Information Technology, or a related discipline is required.
- Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, Prince2) are preferred, but not mandatory.
- A minimum of 7 years in project management, with experience in EHR and Health IT projects.
- Proven track record in managing government-related processes and projects.
