Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive business cases for new projects, including stakeholder assessments, market analyses, cost/benefit evaluations, and project scheduling estimates.
- Oversee medium to large-scale projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within defined scope, and aligned with budget constraints.
- Coordinate efforts among various teams, encompassing IT, business stakeholders, and external vendors, to manage dependencies and facilitate seamless project execution.
- Collaborate with senior management, IT teams, and external resources to delineate and implement project requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams and vendor-related activities, delivering regular updates to senior management on project progress and milestones.
- Engage closely with vendors to manage project timelines, identify potential risks, and formulate solutions for any projected delays.
- Ensure timely review and approval of vendor deliverables.
- Maintain project documentation aligned with PMI's PMBOK standards, including financials, status reports, and all requisite project artifacts.
- Monitor daily project activities, tracking expenditures and addressing any adjustments in scope, risks, and schedules.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders (e.g., agencies, vendors, governmental entities) to guarantee effective project execution and delivery.
- Support procurement initiatives, such as crafting Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and partaking in bid evaluations and contract negotiations.
- Uphold quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring deliverables align with the predefined scope.
- Results-oriented, self-driven individual possessing robust IT project management, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong leadership, team-building, and change management skills.
- Capacity to work autonomously, exercise sound business judgment, and excel in an environment with diverse communication styles.
- Proven track record in managing intricate projects with multiple workstreams and competing timelines.
- Familiarity with low-code technologies such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or ServiceNow is essential.
- Experience within healthcare or state government settings is highly advantageous.
- Proficiency with project management software such as Microsoft Project and Project Server.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office and Teams.
- Understanding of Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
- Significant vendor management experience related to IT project or system implementation.
- Familiarity with healthcare systems, particularly in behavioral health, developmental disabilities, and substance use, is a plus.
- Experience in conducting cost/benefit analyses, market assessments, and developing business case documentation.
- Knowledge of federal application approval processes is highly desirable.
- A minimum of 10 years of project management experience, ideally involving large, complex automation projects.
- At least 7 years of experience managing IT application/system development and deployment for a diverse clientele.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience working with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, and/or ServiceNow.
- A minimum of 7 years managing project risks, budgets, schedules, and communications.
- At least 5 years of experience in IT projects relevant to healthcare.
