Key Responsibilities

As a Land Manager, you will be instrumental in the acquisition of land for conservation and restoration initiatives. Your primary duties will encompass:
- Identifying and assessing potential land acquisition opportunities, including conservation easements and fee-simple purchases.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Project Management, Design, and Leadership, to ensure the effective execution of projects.
- Continuously expanding our land pipeline by actively seeking new opportunities through networking and industry analysis.
- Establishing and nurturing trust-based relationships with land brokers, developers, landowners, and other key stakeholders.
- Negotiating favorable terms and conditions to align with business objectives.
- Drafting legal documentation such as option agreements and purchase contracts in collaboration with internal legal teams.
- Supporting the Leadership Team in financial modeling and project feasibility assessments.
- Managing and updating the CRM and land database (Salesforce) in line with best practices.
- Monitoring market conditions and competitor activities to guide strategic decision-making.
The successful candidate will possess:
- A minimum of five years of experience in land acquisition, real estate, sales, or environmental sciences.
- Exceptional organizational skills and financial acumen.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Proficient interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with Salesforce CRM is advantageous.
- A demonstrated capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to perform site visits, including navigating challenging terrains (with or without reasonable accommodations).
- A valid driver’s license and adherence to company safety protocols while operating a vehicle.
- A diverse educational background in Sales, Business, Agriculture, Environmental Sciences, or Communications.
- Based in or around Omaha, NE, with the capacity to travel approximately 35% of the time (mostly day trips with limited overnight travel).
