Key Responsibilities
- Spearhead initiatives to establish and uphold proficiency standards for all positions within the premium audit department.
- Develop, maintain, and deliver technical training programs for staff auditors, including new recruits and virtual team members.
- Collaborate with Field Premium Audit Managers and the Premium Audit Service Manager to evaluate and confirm skill proficiency levels.
- Partner with the Director of Premium Audit to design and execute training initiatives that promote expertise across the team.
- Create and manage training materials for external stakeholders such as policyholders, agents, and business partners.
- Act as the primary technical authority within the premium audit department, ensuring that all internal and external content is accurate and current.
- Oversee quality assurance programs, reviewing the work products of independent auditors to ensure compliance with established guidelines and identify areas for enhancement.
- Engage with field personnel for quality assurance co-travel activities, providing necessary training support.
- Support large account strategies by offering consultations and conducting audits on selected commercial policies.
- Bachelor’s degree with 5-7 years of experience in insurance premium audits, or an equivalent mix of education and relevant industry experience.
- In-depth understanding of NCCI and ISO manual rules related to premium calculation and classification.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service.
- Proven capability to design and implement effective training programs, including presenting to larger groups (40 participants).
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with mainframe systems is a plus.
- Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Willingness to travel approximately 25% of the time for field audits and meetings.
- A Bachelor's degree is required in a relevant field.
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in insurance premium audits or a comparable background in the industry.
- Demonstrated experience in technical training and leadership roles.
