Key Responsibilities
- Configure, administer, and enhance the Odessa Lease Management System to support accounting and operational functions.
- Develop and maintain APIs, stored procedures, and custom software integrations with Salesforce and other enterprise platforms.
- Ensure adherence to GAAP, ASC 842, and other regulatory standards during system modifications.
- Lead Agile Scrum ceremonies, including sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver iterative system enhancements.
- Serve as the primary liaison for accounting, product management, technology, and back-office operations on Odessa-related initiatives.
- Partner with Accounting SMEs to gather requirements and maintain compliance with leasing accounting standards.
- Streamline processes for lease payment adjustments, tracking commitments, and contract modifications.
- Optimize data integration workflows between Odessa, Salesforce, and other platforms.
- Conduct quality assurance testing for new features and updates.
- Provide training and support to various teams on the functionalities of Odessa.
- Act as the Odessa system expert, resolving issues and ensuring optimal performance.
- Shadow the SVP of Finance to acquire in-depth knowledge of the Odessa system before transitioning to the Technology department as the Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with a solid grasp of GAAP, general ledger, and reconciliation processes.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience in ERP system implementation and management (Odessa experience preferred).
- Familiarity with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle, or auditing firms focused on accounting frameworks.
- Strong technical capabilities in API development, SQL, and system configuration.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive).
- Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum) and the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in process flow mapping and documentation.
- Proven leadership capabilities in managing cross-functional teams and overseeing system implementation projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- CPA or equivalent accounting certification is a plus.
- Experience in the leasing industry or familiarity with lease accounting standards (ASC 842, IFRS 16).
- Knowledge of additional systems such as Sigma, Vertex, PTMS, or QuickBooks Online (QBO) is advantageous.
