Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the assessment of new and renewal business, ensuring alignment with underwriting standards and profitability goals.
• Offer specialized expertise on complex or high-value accounts, enhancing team capabilities.
• Analyze performance metrics and implement improvements to optimize operations.
• Collaborate with various departments, including marketing, claims, and risk management, to create customized client solutions.
• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with agency partners.
• Assess market trends to refine underwriting strategies and maintain a competitive edge.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory frameworks and internal policies.
• Involve yourself in the recruitment, training, and evaluation processes for team members.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
• A minimum of 5 years in commercial underwriting, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
• Preferred certifications include CPCU, AU, or ARM.
