Key Responsibilities
- Develop and sustain skill proficiency benchmarks for all roles within the premium audit department, ensuring uniformity and excellence across the team.
- Design, maintain, and deliver technical training courses tailored for staff auditors, including both newly hired field and virtual auditors.
- Collaborate with Field Premium Audit Managers and the Premium Audit Service Manager to evaluate and confirm skill proficiency for each role.
- Partner with the Director of Premium Audit to craft and execute training initiatives that encourage expertise and professional development for auditors.
- Oversee external training processes for the department, providing essential resources for policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct training sessions to inform partners about audit-related topics, including procedures, classifications, and worksheets.
- Serve as the primary technical authority for Premium Audit, contributing to thought leadership and remaining updated on industry trends.
- Coordinate with premium audit and training organizations to enhance course offerings and disseminate knowledge internally.
- Lead the Quality Program, executing quality reviews and co-travel engagements with field staff to ensure adherence to best practices.
- Support large account strategies, including performing audits on specific commercial lines policies.
- Drive designated departmental projects, advancing critical initiatives aimed at operational enhancement.
- Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of experience in insurance Premium Audit or a comparable mix of education and industry experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with mainframe systems is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the capacity to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Demonstrated experience in presentation and training, including the creation and delivery of programs for large audiences (40 participants).
- Superior time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of insurance company home office management processes, alongside NCCI and ISO manual rules concerning classification and exposure calculation.
- Capability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a remote team framework.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%, with potential for occasional extended trips as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- A robust background of 5-7 years in insurance Premium Audit or an equivalent blend of education and professional experience.
