Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will make a meaningful impact by:
- Developing Expertise: Ensure that the premium audit team possesses the necessary technical skills for their positions by creating and overseeing training programs for both new and existing auditors.
- Leadership & Training: Partner with the Director of Premium Audit to devise and execute training initiatives aimed at elevating auditors to expert status. You will also provide training to external stakeholders such as partners, agents, and policyholders.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the quality assurance protocol for the department by conducting evaluations and co-travel engagements with field personnel to maintain the highest standards.
- External Partnerships: Serve as the technical authority for Premium Audit, engaging with external audit organizations and ensuring that the team remains informed about the latest industry trends and regulations.
- Large Account Strategy Support: Offer direction and resources for new business consultations and assist with strategies related to large accounts, including conducting physical audits as required.
- Project Leadership: Spearhead assigned projects within the department, contributing to the continued development and success of the premium audit team.
To thrive in this position, you should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in insurance Premium Audit, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- Proficiency in computer applications (MS Office); familiarity with mainframe systems is advantageous.
- Exceptional customer service, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Proven experience in presentation and training program design and implementation.
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Comprehensive knowledge of insurance industry regulations, particularly NCCI and ISO manual rules related to premium calculations.
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required.
- 5-7 years of experience in the insurance Premium Audit sector or a similar industry role.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and experience in training program management.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
