Role Overview

As an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), you will be instrumental in providing outstanding patient care and efficient medical transport services. Your role will involve responding to emergency calls, assisting patients, and ensuring their safe transportation to medical facilities in a high-pressure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate effectively with fellow EMTs and management to guarantee superior patient care.
• Provide emergency medical assistance and transport patients with safety as a priority.
• Operate and drive an ambulance in accordance with state and regional regulations.
• Stay current on medical protocols, equipment, and procedures.
• Maintain ambulances in a clean and ready state, including restocking necessary supplies.
• Document patient care reports and billing information accurately.
• Demonstrate professionalism and empathy when interacting with patients and colleagues.
• Respond promptly to assignments as requested by the dispatch center.
• Comply with all company policies and state regulations for emergency medical services.
• Perform additional tasks and meet program-specific requirements as necessary.
  
  

Required Skills

• Valid New York State EMT Certification
• Valid New York State Driver's License (minimum 2 years of driving experience with a clean record)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification (American Heart Association or equivalent)
• Strong verbal communication abilities
• Capability to lift, push, and pull 125 lbs. or more
• Fully vaccinated for COVID-19
• Availability to work Fridays and either Saturdays or Sundays
