Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough evaluations of patients utilizing diverse assessment techniques, including interviews with patients, families, and other relevant individuals involved in their care.
- Craft and execute individualized treatment plans specifically designed to address the unique emotional, social, cognitive, developmental, and behavioral requirements of each client.
- Work collaboratively with a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner when required to facilitate medication management consultations.
- Offer crisis intervention services to uphold patient safety and well-being during critical moments.
- Keep meticulous and current patient records, documenting treatment strategies, progress, and medication administration as necessary.
- Engage in continuous professional development through reading, attending educational seminars, and participating in peer networking opportunities.
- Ensure all activities conform to ethical and legal standards, including adherence to HIPAA regulations.
- Conduct both virtual and in-person appointments to accommodate the diverse needs of patients.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in a mental health-related discipline (such as Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling).
- Completion of all requisite training for New York State registration, including BLS, ACLS, and Infection Control Training.
- Comprehensive understanding of HIPAA compliance, with a minimum of one year's experience as a licensed therapist.
- Preferred licensure in New York State to provide counseling services (LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC).
- Additional certifications (ABA, DBT, CBT, EMDR) are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with a demonstrated capacity to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
- A passion for holistic patient care in a growth-focused healthcare environment.
- Master's or Doctorate degree in a mental health-related field.
- Fulfillment of all training necessary for New York State registration.
- At least one year of professional experience as a licensed therapist.
- Preferred licensure in New York State (LCSW, LPC, etc.).
