Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Women’s Health Department. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of women while working within a team of healthcare professionals focused on providing outstanding patient care. Flexible full-time and part-time positions are available, including potential remote administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities

As an LPN in our Women’s Health Department, your primary duties will include:

• Collecting patient information to support providers in assessment and care planning.
• Administering prescribed medications and treatments accurately.
• Monitoring and documenting vital signs, medical history, and symptoms diligently.
• Assisting in physical examinations and medical procedures within your licensure scope.
• Educating patients and their families regarding health topics and treatment plans.
• Ensuring timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
• Collaborating with school nurses, WIC colleagues, DCF, and other medical departments as required.
• Triage patient inquiries, providing informed guidance based on established protocols.
• Facilitating communication with specialists, including obtaining letters and results, and aiding in home therapy arrangements as designated by a provider.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on interpersonal relations.
• Bilingual proficiency is highly encouraged.
• The capacity to perform efficiently in a dynamic environment while multitasking effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records, with experience in eClinicalWorks being preferred.
  
  

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Current LPN licensure in the state of Connecticut is essential.
• Previous experience in pediatrics is preferred.
