Key Responsibilities
As an LPN in our Women’s Health Department, your primary duties will include:
- Collecting patient information to support providers in assessment and care planning.
- Administering prescribed medications and treatments accurately.
- Monitoring and documenting vital signs, medical history, and symptoms diligently.
- Assisting in physical examinations and medical procedures within your licensure scope.
- Educating patients and their families regarding health topics and treatment plans.
- Ensuring timely and accurate documentation of patient care.
- Collaborating with school nurses, WIC colleagues, DCF, and other medical departments as required.
- Triage patient inquiries, providing informed guidance based on established protocols.
- Facilitating communication with specialists, including obtaining letters and results, and aiding in home therapy arrangements as designated by a provider.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on interpersonal relations.
- Bilingual proficiency is highly encouraged.
- The capacity to perform efficiently in a dynamic environment while multitasking effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records, with experience in eClinicalWorks being preferred.
- A High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Current LPN licensure in the state of Connecticut is essential.
- Previous experience in pediatrics is preferred.
