Remote Mental Health Counselor/Therapist | WFH

Job Overview

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), you will provide empathetic and high-quality mental health support to individuals, couples, and families. This role is pivotal, guiding clients through their therapeutic journeys using evidence-based methodologies to enhance their mental well-being and facilitate positive change.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to accurately identify each client’s unique needs.
• Formulate and execute individualized treatment plans grounded in effective, evidence-based practices.
• Deliver therapy sessions for individuals, couples, and families, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques such as CBT, DBT, and mindfulness.
• Maintain meticulous records of client progress in alignment with clinical standards and ethical practices.
• Ensure client confidentiality while upholding the highest professional and ethical standards.
• Collaborate with a network of mental health professionals, medical personnel, and community resources to provide holistic care.
• Engage in ongoing supervision, training, and professional development to enhance clinical expertise.
• Stay informed on the latest research and trends in mental health to continually inform your practice.
• Provide prompt crisis intervention when necessary, offering critical support to clients in distress.
• Create a welcoming and secure therapeutic environment, promoting comfort and respect for all clients.
• Participate in outreach and community education initiatives to elevate mental health awareness and combat stigma.
  
  

Required Skills

• Proficiency in diverse therapeutic approaches, including CBT, DBT, and mindfulness-based practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the establishment of trust and rapport with clients.
• Ability to effectively collaborate within a multidisciplinary team.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and documentation practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
• An active, unrestricted LPC or LCSW license in Michigan is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of clinical experience is preferred.
