Key Responsibilities
- Guide and mentor the clinical team, offering support and direction to physicians, nurse practitioners, therapists, and other healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to fulfill staffing requirements, including recruitment, screening, and interviewing of new clinicians.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and quality assurance standards in all clinical practices.
- Advocate for and implement evidence-based practices, staying abreast of the latest trends in mental health and treatment methodologies.
- Provide strategic insights to leadership regarding the direction and objectives of clinical programs.
- Act as a representative for the medical staff in leadership meetings, fostering effective communication across teams.
- Aid in the onboarding and professional development of new clinical staff, equipping them for success in their roles.
- Monitor communication channels and promptly address clinicians’ inquiries and needs.
- Review and manage time-off requests while regularly assessing clinician morale.
- Tackle operational challenges as they arise, offering guidance to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
- Lead peer meetings and participate in crafting policies and procedures aimed at improving practice operations.
- Supervise the rollout of new programs and initiatives, driving ongoing development and success within the practice.
- Oversee clinician productivity to guarantee optimal service delivery to patients.
- Board Certification in Psychiatry.
- Active Virginia and/or Maryland Physician License.
- Active Controlled Substance License in Virginia and/or Maryland.
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) License.
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a clinical environment.
- Proven experience in a leadership capacity within a clinical setting.
