Key Responsibilities
- Develop a nurturing and secure environment for clients and their families.
- Conduct comprehensive, trauma-informed assessments to determine client needs.
- Provide short-term individual, couples/family, and group therapy sessions.
- Uphold a yearly production target based on hours worked.
- Ensure timely completion of billable services.
- Engage in collaborative documentation practices.
- Coordinate care with both health and behavioral health services.
- Refer clients to support services when necessary.
- Assist with care transitions and aftercare planning.
- Offer crisis management support as needed.
- Act as a community advocate for mental health awareness.
- Implement evidence-based interventions, including motivational interviewing techniques.
- Maintain a flexible schedule to meet client needs, offering both in-person and telehealth services.
- Manage a caseload and accommodate triage and walk-in appointments.
- Keep accurate records in compliance with agency standards.
- Participate in professional supervision and training initiatives.
- Maintain all required certifications and licensure through ongoing education.
- Master’s degree in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, or a similar discipline.
- Licensure or eligibility for licensure (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, LADC-I).
- Familiarity with Electronic Health Record systems.
- Commitment to cultural competency and understanding of personal biases.
- Proficient knowledge of diverse cultural perspectives.
- Strong cross-cultural communication and interaction skills.
- A Master's degree in mental health counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
