You will provide assistance to senior leadership across all communications initiatives and serve as a key contributor to our multimedia projects and data visualization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Offer communications support for both virtual and in-person events, including conferences, convenings, media engagements, and presentations.
- Ensure the maintenance and update of the organization’s website while providing necessary technical assistance.
- Visualize and interpret data and research findings to create impactful reports and graphics.
- Write, edit, and generate content for newsletters, educational materials, reports, and presentations.
- Collaborate on multimedia projects including videos, podcasts, webinars, and graphic design.
- Work closely with program and compliance teams to analyze data that contributes to storytelling campaigns, case studies, reports, presentations, and educational materials.
- Assist in project coordination and external communications, including liaising with vendors and media consultants.
- Manage assets for the communications team, including photos, videos, design elements, and media permissions.
- Support the tracking of deadlines and deliverables for the communications team.
- Undertake additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned, including grant maintenance and compliance tasks.
- Proficiency in web performance and design, with experience in content management systems (CMS) like WordPress and web hosting platforms such as GoDaddy.
- Competence in graphic design using tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Canva.
- Strong skills in photography and videography, including camera operation, lighting techniques, and sound recording equipment.
- Excellent data analysis capabilities and technical writing skills.
- Attention to detail with robust editing and proofreading skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with webinar platforms, specifically Zoom, including hosting, scheduling, and managing webinars.
- A collaborative spirit to promote effective teamwork and open communication.
- Strong project management abilities to handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
- A degree in agriculture, communications, or a related field, or equivalent experience working with Native farmers and ranchers.
- A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant experience in communications.
