Key Responsibilities
- Offer communications support for both virtual and in-person events, including conferences and media gatherings
- Manage updates for the organization's website and provide technical assistance
- Analyze and visualize data to enhance reports and graphical representations
- Produce, edit, and write content for newsletters, educational resources, and formal reports
- Contribute to multimedia projects encompassing video production, podcasts, webinars, and graphic design
- Collaborate with program and compliance teams to collect data that supports storytelling campaigns and educational materials
- Assist in project coordination and manage external communications, including interaction with vendors and media consultants
- Oversee the organization's communications assets (photos, videos, design elements)
- Monitor project deadlines and deliverables for the communications team
- Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned, which may include grant maintenance and compliance tasks
- Experience with content management systems (CMS) such as WordPress
- Proficiency in graphic design tools including Adobe Creative Suite and Canva
- Competence in photography and videography, particularly in lighting and sound techniques
- Strong capabilities in data analysis and technical writing
- Excellent editing and proofreading skills, with keen attention to detail
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge of webinar platforms, notably Zoom
- Ability to cultivate collaboration among team members
- Strong project management skills to navigate multiple concurrent assignments
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, communications, or a relevant field, or equivalent experience in agricultural work with Native farmers and ranchers
- 2-3 years of experience in communications, preferably within agricultural contexts
