Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site assessments, pre-conference planning sessions, and venue meetings to guarantee successful event execution.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of the event cost structure and integrate it into solution designs while adhering to our profitability standards.
- Spearhead marketing initiatives and lead generation activities to achieve specified revenue objectives.
- Craft and enhance lead generation campaigns, including emails and templates intended for sales meetings.
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce marketing materials that resonate with our branding and messaging strategies.
- Manage sponsorship sales marketing efforts, including promotional collateral and web content.
- Formulate and propose menu selections, coordinate tastings, and work with the culinary team for optimal menu design.
- Conduct vendor production walkthroughs and meetings related to event planning activities.
- Generate clear Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), design floor plans, and oversee equipment inventory for events.
- Relay all relevant event information across departments to ensure a seamless planning process.
- Recruit, train, and mentor managers while actively participating in the refinement of service techniques, menu presentations, policies, and procedures.
- Monitor budgets, financial targets, and forecasts, while reviewing the collection of receivables.
- Maintain a local client database and foster relationships with new vendors.
- Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation standards in accordance with HACCP guidelines.
- Undertake additional duties and special projects as assigned.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Event Sales and/or Conference Catering Sales.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Hospitality, or a related discipline.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey the event experience.
- Proven ability to consistently meet and exceed sales objectives.
- In-depth knowledge of current food industry trends and fine dining service standards.
- Capability to work autonomously, make proactive decisions, and meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Delphi and Meeting Matrix is advantageous.
- Ability to develop menu proposals in collaboration with chefs.
- Understanding of event set-up styles, audio-visual equipment, and property layouts.
- Strong customer service acumen, capable of handling interactions with diplomacy and patience.
- Superior problem-solving abilities and capacity to perform under pressure.
- A positive service-oriented attitude with a commitment to teamwork and collaboration.
