Job Title: Adjunct Instructor - Hospitality Leadership

Overview

We invite applications for the role of Adjunct Instructor for our esteemed Hospitality Leadership Concentration. This position offers a unique opportunity to educate and mentor the next generation of hospitality leaders through a series of enriching courses, such as:

  • Fundamentals of Hospitality Leadership
  • Hospitality Management Strategy
  • Hospitality Business Training and Development
  • Managing Guest Experience

As an integral member of our academic team, you will be responsible for curating and delivering stimulating instructional experiences, adhering to an established curriculum, and fostering a dynamic and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach up to 27.5 hours per week.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans tailored to each class session.
  • Deliver impactful lectures and facilitate project-based learning (PBL) across various hospitality topics.
  • Guide students in their academic pursuits and assist in reaching their educational objectives.
  • Assess and monitor student progress through diverse evaluation methods.
  • Maintain accurate academic records for reporting Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) to the Academic Dean/Program Manager.
  • Participate actively in quarterly instructor in-service meetings.
  • Engage in professional development activities to stay current with teaching methodologies.
  • Organize and lead field outings for students to enhance practical learning experiences.
  • Contribute to program enhancement by participating in committees.
  • Provide academic advising to promote student growth and retention.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities to elevate the educational experience.

Qualifications

Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in hospitality or a closely related discipline. For those whose qualifications do not align directly with hospitality, a minimum of two years of relevant professional experience or specialized training in the field is preferred.
