General Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Adjunct Instructor for our Hospitality Leadership Concentration. In this role, you will have the opportunity to teach a variety of engaging courses, including:
- Fundamentals of Hospitality Leadership
- Hospitality Management Strategy
- Hospitality Business Training and Development
- Managing Guest Experience
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach up to 27.5 hours per week.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans for each class session.
- Deliver engaging lectures and facilitate project-based learning (PBL) on diverse topics within the hospitality industry.
- Support students in their learning journey and assist them in achieving their academic goals.
- Evaluate and monitor student progress using various assessment tools.
- Maintain accurate records to report Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) to the Academic Dean/Program Manager.
- Attend and actively participate in quarterly campus-wide instructor in-service meetings.
- Stay updated on advancements in teaching methodologies by engaging in professional development activities.
- Organize and lead enriching field outings for students once per module.
- Contribute to program improvement through active involvement in committees.
- Provide academic advising to support student growth and retention.
- Perform additional tasks as needed.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree or higher in hospitality or a related field. If your degree is not in hospitality or a directly related field, we welcome candidates with at least two years of relevant work experience or evidence of specialized training in the industry.
Physical Requirements
Instructors are regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands for various tasks, reach with hands and arms, and communicate effectively. Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position is based in a normal office setting, with a moderate noise level.
