This position also involves collaborating with various business units to implement effective event strategies while managing vendors and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, and execute events and programs, which includes developing action plans, project timelines, and sourcing venues.
- Negotiate contracts, conduct site visits, and oversee logistics such as audio/visual, food and beverage, and accommodations.
- Collaborate with the Education team to ensure successful program execution and evaluation.
- Manage sponsorship and advertising requirements for all assigned initiatives.
- Analyze and monitor key performance indicators and metrics for continuous improvement and recommend strategies for success.
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Planning, Project Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in program and event planning, including association exposition planning.
- Strong computer proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Zoom, and Teams; familiarity with SalesForce is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal, presentation, analytical, and budget management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- CMP or CMM certification is preferred but not required.
- Proven ability to lead teams effectively and foster strong relationships.
- Flexibility and commitment to meeting deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
