Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Purchasing Manager to join our esteemed organization. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of Purchasing Coordinators, overseeing hiring, training, and performance evaluations.
• Formulate and execute purchasing strategies and policies that align with corporate objectives and focus on cost efficiency and quality enhancement.
• Oversee the acquisition of materials and services for aerospace and defense applications, ensuring optimal procurement practices.
• Build and maintain robust relationships with key suppliers, negotiating favorable contracts and terms.
• Collaborate with senior management to synchronize purchasing strategies with the organization’s long-term goals and market dynamics.
• Develop policies and procedures for procurement, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Manage the department’s budget, effectively controlling procurement-related expenditures.
• Lead strategic sourcing efforts, including supplier assessment and performance monitoring.
• Optimize supply chain technologies, including ERP systems and e-procurement platforms, ensuring efficient operations.
• Ensure adherence to AS9100, MIL-STD, export control regulations, and other industry standards in purchasing activities.
• Collaborate across departments (Sales, Engineering, Quality, Finance) to align procurement decisions with business needs.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Purchasing department and report on performance metrics to leadership.
• Initiate risk management strategies to navigate supply chain disruptions and market fluctuations.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and improving supplier performance.
• Manage inventory levels effectively to balance operational demands and cost control.
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and strategic supplier negotiations.
• Mentor team members to foster a culture of professionalism and continuous development.
• Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in procurement and supply chain management.
• Collaborate with legal and Quality teams to ensure compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory standards.
• Promote sustainability and ethical sourcing practices within the procurement processes.
