We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dental Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this essential role, you will significantly contribute to the support of our partner practices by managing procurement processes, ensuring effective vendor relationships, and adhering to established policies and procedures to maintain operational efficiency and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and organize vendor information to establish new accounts (e.g., W-9, bank details).
- Assist the Accounts Payable department in resolving missing invoices and discrepancies.
- Provide timely updates regarding the status of purchased equipment.
- Facilitate order placements and track shipments as necessary.
- Redirect incorrectly shipped packages to their intended locations.
- Maintain accurate vendor and office spreadsheets.
- Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager on various projects.
- Address procurement and purchasing-related inquiries and requirements.
- Serve as a proficient user of Dentira, providing training and support across all locations regarding SKUs, vendors, and system errors.
- Set up new user accounts and update location information as needed.
- Aid in preserving the data integrity of Dentira.
- Collect vendor information to support the Facilities Manager.
- Assist in purchasing efforts related to facilities projects.
- Contribute to information gathering for cost-saving initiatives.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-motivated with excellent time management capabilities, able to prioritize across a network of practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- A background in healthcare is advantageous.
- 5-7 years of experience in Procurement.
