Role Overview

As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in fostering relationships with prospective corporate clients. Your primary responsibilities will include engaging in active sales outreach, generating leads, and conducting market research to promote our intelligence and platform services. This position offers you the opportunity to learn about our solutions and effectively communicate our value proposition to clients across various target markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and connect with potential enterprise customers through thorough research, outreach via calls, emails, and social media, specifically targeting the agri-food sector and related industries.
  • Conduct an analysis of industry trends and key challenges faced by enterprise clients in the agri-food domain.
  • Qualify leads from both inbound and outbound sources to ensure a smooth transition to the sales team for closing.
  • Develop and deliver persuasive messaging tailored to specific prospects, highlighting the benefits of our SaaS-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to create targeted campaigns aimed at optimizing lead conversion.
  • Maintain precise records of all prospect interactions and activities using CRM systems like Salesforce or HubSpot.
  • Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the company's SaaS offerings to effectively convey our value proposition.

Required Skills

  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, business development, or lead generation, preferably within SaaS, technology sales, or intelligence sales roles.
  • Strong communication and active listening skills, along with the ability to build relationships.
  • Familiarity with the agri-food sector, enterprise sales cycles, or data-driven decision-making tools is advantageous.
  • Comfort with learning and explaining SaaS solutions, coupled with a basic understanding of CRM systems and sales tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Agriculture, or a related field is preferred.
  • A self-motivated individual with a growth-oriented mindset and a passion for connecting with others.
