Key Responsibilities
- Manage a small caseload focused on home study and post-release services as necessary.
- Oversee staff adherence to US and ORR policies, ensuring compliance with all mandated timeframes.
- Supervise personnel involved in delivering home study and post-release services, while overseeing cases classified as Home Study and PRS Level III.
- Analyze and report on expected outcomes, implementing strategies for continuous improvement.
- Evaluate and identify areas needing additional support and resources to ensure the provision of a safe environment for children.
- Offer guidance on trauma-informed crisis intervention strategies and connect families with necessary services.
- Assess recommendations made by staff concerning sponsors’ abilities to provide appropriate care and ensure ongoing assessments related to child safety.
- Facilitate the scheduling of interviews, home visits, and staff travel.
- Maintain accurate documentation while safeguarding confidential records in accordance with program regulations.
- Report any concerns regarding children and sponsors to the program and act as a mandated reporter when necessary.
- Engage in training sessions, meetings, and quality enhancement initiatives as recommended.
- Travel as required to deliver services and meet with staff in various locations across the U.S.
- A Master of Social Work (MSW) or equivalent degree in psychology, sociology, or a related behavioral science field, with a minimum of 2 years of post-graduate direct service experience, or a bachelor’s degree with 6 years of relevant experience.
- Prior supervisory experience with a license for clinical supervision, ensuring compliance with state regulations.
- Familiarity with family preservation, kinship care, trauma-informed care, and child welfare policies.
- Experience conducting home studies and providing post-release services, particularly with immigrant populations.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (both verbal and written).
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with families and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities for managing multiple priorities.
- Licensed and experienced in clinical supervision with a proven track record in assessments, evaluations, case management, and home studies.
- Capacity to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry systems.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel for in-person visits.
