Key Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic planning for incorporating new products and programs into our offerings, in collaboration with the Vice President of Program Strategy and fellow Programmatic Directors.
- Execute annual business development initiatives by coordinating resources and providing direction to team members.
- Identify and analyze key trends and opportunities within the private sector to align our priorities with innovative solutions.
- Manage day-to-day relationships with significant partners and support Program Managers in their engagements.
- Cultivate robust relationships with senior executives in relevant sectors and negotiate agreements to enhance product availability in underserved markets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful partnership proposals that align with our mission.
- Ensure effective implementation of partnership agreements and foster collaboration among internal teams.
- Represent the organization at global health events, advocating for innovative access models for medicines in low- and middle-income regions.
- Identify funding prospects from private sector partners and work with the Development and Communications team to secure necessary resources.
- Collaborate with monitoring and evaluation leaders to develop metrics assessing the impact of partnerships on health access, and report progress to stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s Degree is required; a Master’s degree or relevant certification in Public Health, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field is preferred. A PhD is regarded as advantageous.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in private sector engagement, global health, or related domains is essential.
- Demonstrated success in establishing and managing partnerships with pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or health tech firms.
- Comprehensive understanding of global health challenges and access issues in low- and middle-income countries, along with familiarity with regulatory landscapes.
- Strong analytical capabilities and a proven ability to make informed decisions.
- Advanced strategic thinking and people management skills, coupled with the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with a record of fulfilling commitments.
- Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills with high-level stakeholders.
- Experience in a global and multicultural environment, adept at working across various time zones.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in French, Spanish, or another language is advantageous.
- Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally on a semi-regular basis.
