Job Title: Director of Private Sector Partnerships

Location: Remote (Seattle, WA preferred)

Salary: The anticipated salary range for this position in the United States is between \(130,000 and \)150,000 USD. This range considers relevant qualifications, local labor costs, pay equity, and geographic factors. No relocation assistance is available; candidates may work remotely.

Role Overview

As the Director of Private Sector Partnerships, you will report to the Vice President of Program Strategy. You will be instrumental in crafting and directing partnerships with pharmaceutical, diagnostics, and other private sector organizations. Your role will be pivotal in establishing impactful collaborations that broaden global access to innovative medical solutions while aligning with our overarching mission and objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic planning for incorporating new products and programs into our offerings, in collaboration with the Vice President of Program Strategy and fellow Programmatic Directors.
  • Execute annual business development initiatives by coordinating resources and providing direction to team members.
  • Identify and analyze key trends and opportunities within the private sector to align our priorities with innovative solutions.
  • Manage day-to-day relationships with significant partners and support Program Managers in their engagements.
  • Cultivate robust relationships with senior executives in relevant sectors and negotiate agreements to enhance product availability in underserved markets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create impactful partnership proposals that align with our mission.
  • Ensure effective implementation of partnership agreements and foster collaboration among internal teams.
  • Represent the organization at global health events, advocating for innovative access models for medicines in low- and middle-income regions.
  • Identify funding prospects from private sector partners and work with the Development and Communications team to secure necessary resources.
  • Collaborate with monitoring and evaluation leaders to develop metrics assessing the impact of partnerships on health access, and report progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree is required; a Master’s degree or relevant certification in Public Health, Business Administration, International Development, or a related field is preferred. A PhD is regarded as advantageous.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in private sector engagement, global health, or related domains is essential.
  • Demonstrated success in establishing and managing partnerships with pharmaceutical, diagnostics, or health tech firms.
  • Comprehensive understanding of global health challenges and access issues in low- and middle-income countries, along with familiarity with regulatory landscapes.
  • Strong analytical capabilities and a proven ability to make informed decisions.
  • Advanced strategic thinking and people management skills, coupled with the ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment with a record of fulfilling commitments.
  • Exceptional relationship-building and negotiation skills with high-level stakeholders.
  • Experience in a global and multicultural environment, adept at working across various time zones.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; fluency in French, Spanish, or another language is advantageous.
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally on a semi-regular basis.

Benefits Summary

  • Comprehensive employer-sponsored benefits including full medical (including vision) and dental premium coverage for employees, with 50% coverage for spouses and dependents.
  • Annual vacation accrual of 80 hours (increasing with tenure), personal time accrual of 52 hours, accompanied by 12 paid company holidays and 2 floating holidays each year.
  • $10,000 Basic Life and AD&D insurance coverage, as well as short-term disability insurance.
