Key Responsibilities
- Deliver expert guidance on critical infrastructure operations and security measures.
- Provide strategic security leadership and support to external partners through various communication channels, including direct engagement and written documentation.
- Assess, recommend, and implement tools, programs, and processes to bolster critical infrastructure protection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise and disseminate innovative solutions to security and reliability issues through training and outreach initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate outreach efforts aimed at mitigating risks to the bulk power system.
- Create and present technical presentations to diverse audiences, both large and small.
- Develop and distribute technical documentation for training and educational purposes via our learning platforms and newsletters.
- Assist in the ongoing development and maintenance of program documentation and tools.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently while fostering a collaborative team atmosphere.
- Cultivate strong relationships with stakeholders and actively engage in relevant committees and task forces.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to fulfill our mission.
- Proficient understanding of operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) security devices and principles.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging effectively in various formats.
- Demonstrated analytical abilities, with a knack for deriving logical conclusions from data.
- Competence in Microsoft Office Suite, including SharePoint and Project.
- Experience in formulating and executing technical policies, procedures, and protocols is highly advantageous.
- An industry-recognized security certification will be considered beneficial.
- At least five years of experience in the electric utility sector, ideally with expertise in bulk electric systems.
- A minimum of seven years in managing, securing, or auditing critical systems applicable to electric power and industrial control systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, security, or engineering-related domain.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards (e.g., NERC, ISO, NIST).
- Strong interpersonal skills for effective engagement across various communication mediums.
