Position: Senior Traditional Media Planner & Buyer
As a Senior Traditional Media Planner & Buyer, you will be responsible for developing and managing media campaigns across traditional platforms such as out-of-home, print, radio, and television, ensuring outstanding results for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate and implement Media Strategies and Plans that align with overarching client goals, collaborating closely with all media roles involved in the project.
- Generate innovative concepts and leverage technology to accomplish client objectives through both owned and earned media.
- Conduct thorough research on media partners, vendors, and outlets, covering traditional, digital, and bespoke media channels.
- Provide insights into the latest traditional media formats to deliver optimal results for clients.
- Negotiate media rates and placements in accordance with the approved media strategy.
- Establish best practices within the media department to enhance efficiency, automate processes, and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Utilize cutting-edge digital and cloud-based platforms for managing media plans, assets, insertion orders, tracking, reporting, and billing, including customization for enhanced efficiency.
- Attend industry conferences, webinars, and training sessions to explore emerging formats, vendors, and opportunities.
- Collaborate with media analysts to produce weekly and monthly reports with channel-specific insights.
- Create client point-of-views upon request.
- Oversee budget management, expense tracking, and billing reconciliation.
- Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
- A balanced blend of analytical and creative abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent presentation capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects in an Agile, deadline-driven environment.
- Ensure all campaigns adhere to strategic objectives and that analytics are accurately captured.
- Maintain meticulous client budgets, workflows, and status reports.
- Preferred candidates located in South Florida; remote candidates must have the ability to travel.
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Advertising, or Marketing.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in media or a related advertising field.
- Experience managing media for travel, hospitality, and/or destination brands is a distinct advantage.
- Advanced proficiency in computer skills is required.
- Strong mathematical and analytical abilities.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
- Proficient in effective communication with clients and team members.
- Familiarity with Strata is a plus, as is knowledge of Data Warehouse, Dashboarding, and reporting tools.
