Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site inspections, pre-event planning meetings, and venue walkthroughs to guarantee successful event execution.
- Analyze event cost structures and integrate them into tailored solutions while adhering to profitability standards.
- Drive marketing and lead generation initiatives aimed at achieving revenue targets.
- Develop initiatives to qualify leads and enhance the effectiveness of lead generation communications for sales engagements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to produce marketing materials that reflect our branding and messaging.
- Supervise sponsorship sales marketing efforts, including promotional materials and web content.
- Design and propose event menus, organize tastings, and coordinate with culinary teams for selection processes.
- Facilitate vendor production walkthroughs, conference calls, and meetings related to event planning.
- Generate clear Banquet Event Orders, create floor plans, and oversee equipment inventories for events.
- Disseminate relevant event information across departments to ensure a streamlined planning process.
- Recruit, train, and mentor staff, actively contributing to the development of service techniques, menu presentations, policies, and procedures.
- Prepare and track budgets, financial targets, and forecasts, while reviewing the collection of receivables.
- Maintain a comprehensive local client database and foster relationships with new vendors.
- Ensure adherence to safety and sanitation protocols in compliance with HACCP standards.
- Undertake related duties and special projects as assigned.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in Event Sales and/or Conference Catering Sales.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills for conveying the event experience effectively.
- Demonstrated success in achieving sales goals.
- Comprehensive knowledge of current food industry trends and fine dining service standards.
- Ability to work autonomously, make proactive decisions, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Delphi and Meeting Matrix is advantageous.
- Competence in drafting menu proposals in collaboration with chefs.
- Understanding of event setup styles, audio-visual equipment, and venue layouts.
- Strong customer service capabilities, with a patient and diplomatic approach to client interactions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and capacity to perform under pressure.
- A positive service-oriented attitude, commitment to teamwork, and a desire to exceed expectations.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to remain composed during high-pressure situations.
