This role demands a comprehensive understanding of our platform to guarantee its scalability, reliability, observability, and extensibility. A strong foundation in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), Networking, and managing operations within a self-hosted infrastructure environment is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in Operations and Networking.
- Maintain and enhance the physical On-Premise infrastructure and network at a co-located data center while facilitating a transition to cloud-based solutions.
- Mentor and provide guidance to Site Engineering team members.
- Drive automation in software releases to minimize production issues.
- Continuously seek opportunities to enhance and automate existing processes.
- Participate in the on-call rotation for production incident management.
- Profound knowledge of CI/CD services such as TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, and GitHub Actions.
- Extensive experience in managing On-Premise Datacenter resources, including compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Proficiency in Windows Server Administration, encompassing Active Directory, Group Policies, and DNS management, ensuring high availability and secure configurations.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to troubleshoot and lead incident response teams.
- Familiarity with automation tools and configuration-as-code methodologies (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef).
- Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) frameworks (e.g., Terraform, Bicep).
- Experience utilizing containers within CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud services, preferably AWS.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in Site Engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record in managing On-Premise infrastructure and cloud services.
