The Role

As a Financial Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the General Manager in achieving our financial goals. Your responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Collaborating closely with our corporate accounting team to ensure timely and consistent reporting.
• Reconciling balance sheet accounts monthly and ensuring they are supported by appropriate documentation in line with our standard operating procedures.
• Taking a hands-on approach to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
• Analyzing financial data, customer insights, and market trends to drive financial success and maintain a competitive edge.
• Leading the creation of accurate forecasts, annual budgets, and business plans.
• Managing banking arrangements and preparing monthly financial statements and reports.
• Establishing and reinforcing effective accounting and operational controls, overseeing all accounting operations including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger.
• Conducting periodic internal audits to monitor financial conditions and ensure effective cash flow management.
• Implementing adequate controls to protect the organization's financial assets.
• Coordinating and preparing for external audits.
• Participating in sales and revenue strategy meetings to enhance top-line revenue.
• Monitoring daily operations to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
• Developing the financial acumen of team members regarding revenue growth, labor productivity, expense management, and overall financial understanding.
• Utilizing strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and inspire others.
• Understanding and addressing the needs of key stakeholders, including owners, guests, and team members.
• Actively participating in the training and ongoing development of your team.
• Ensuring compliance with applicable Franchise and Management Agreements.
• Reviewing and monitoring contracts with property vendors and participating in negotiations when possible.
• Ensuring adherence to all local laws and procedures.
• Completing additional duties as assigned.
