Key Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility for key national accounts, emphasizing annual growth planning, assortment strategies, promotional initiatives, merchandising, and shopper marketing efforts.
- Cultivate strong relationships with key account personnel, including buyers, planners, and analysts.
- Meet distribution, shelf management, pricing, and promotional objectives for strategic accounts.
- Collaborate effectively with brokers, distributors, and internal resources to achieve sales and distribution goals.
- Oversee the execution of vendor and item setup forms, online applications, and promotional programs within retailer systems.
- Implement retailer promotional plans to optimize incremental sales through strategic trade investments.
- Manage P&L and financial documentation, including sales forecasts, promotional calendars, negotiated deals, and profitability.
- Develop and deliver impactful sales presentations.
- Conduct ad hoc sales and inventory analyses to inform business decisions.
- Identify and pursue new business development opportunities.
- Work with the Sales Forecast and Demand Planning Team to ensure precise inventory forecasting.
- Provide cross-functional support for various Supply Chain functions, including Accounting, Inventory Management, Order Flow, and Customer Support.
- Extensive experience in the CPG sector, with a minimum of 10 years in the industry and at least 5 years managing relationships with major national grocery accounts (examples: Kroger, Publix, Albertsons). Experience in the drug channel is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Excel for data analysis and decision-making.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects reliably.
- A deep understanding of category dynamics and competitive landscapes, serving as a thought partner to national grocers.
- Proven ability to lead projects from initiation to completion, managing timelines and deliverables proficiently.
- Resourceful and creative in achieving goals within a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
- A mindset characterized by intellectual curiosity, with a willingness to innovate and enhance systems and processes.
- Excellent communication skills, fostering positive engagement with team members and clients.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, or a related field.
