Job Overview

We are in search of a meticulous and analytical Demand Planner to become an integral part of our expanding food manufacturing team in Bartlett, IL. This hybrid role provides a unique chance to significantly influence demand forecasting and ensure seamless supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

As a Demand Planner, your pivotal role will include:

• Compiling and organizing raw data into Excel spreadsheets with plans for integration into SAP.
• Forecasting consumer demand while assisting management with risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Identifying and executing solutions to enhance forecast accuracy proactively.
• Monitoring and reporting on significant fluctuations in sales forecasts and business strategies.
• Collaborating with sales, marketing, and supply chain personnel to gather insights for precise forecasting.
• Analyzing demand trends, sales patterns, and promotional activities to make necessary adjustments to forecasts.
• Supporting inventory planning and replenishment strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
• Utilizing demand planning software to produce forecasts and deliver data-driven insights.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives for enhanced forecasting accuracy and streamlined processes.
• Keeping abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies within the Food and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) sector.
  
  

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with demand planning tools such as SAP APO, Oracle Demantra, or JDA.
• Excellent communication and collaborative skills for effective teamwork across departments.
• A detail-oriented approach coupled with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of forecasting methodologies, inventory management, and supply chain principles (considered a plus).
  
  

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline (preferred).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or related analytical roles, ideally within the food or CPG industry.
• Proven experience managing over 5,000 line items in a dynamic environment.
