Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as the Senior Group Account Director for Business Development, where you will spearhead the cultivation of strategic partnerships with large dealer groups, direct-use clients, and value-added reseller (VAR) partners in the automotive sector. This pivotal role is essential to driving substantial revenue growth through innovative data solutions tailored to meet our clients’ evolving needs.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Drive Revenue Growth: Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities to enhance market penetration.
  • Build Relationships: Establish trusted partnerships with clients and internal stakeholders, positioning yourself as a reliable resource for addressing client challenges.
  • Client Engagement: Conduct discovery sessions, formulate customized proposals, and deliver compelling presentations to senior executives.
  • Educate and Inform: Advise clients on the advantages of data-driven solutions to help them optimize their investment in our offerings.
  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with internal teams to develop cross-sell strategies, marketing initiatives, and performance metrics for key accounts.
  • Data-Driven Reporting: Utilize Salesforce to track sales pipelines, maintain client records, and report progress against business goals.
  • Feedback and Innovation: Relay client insights to facilitate product innovation, ensuring alignment with market trends.
  • Be a Change Maker: Continuously seek opportunities to enhance processes and deliver greater value to clients.

Required Skills

The successful candidate will possess:

  • Proven expertise in data-as-a-service (DaaS) or software-as-a-service (SaaS) sales.
  • Experience in cultivating and sustaining C-suite relationships.
  • A background in the automotive industry, particularly with VAR partnerships, finance, marketing, or advertising.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, with a knack for influencing decisions and building trust.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce and Microsoft Office applications.
  • A strong grasp of multi-channel automotive marketing, including digital and VAR ecosystems.
  • An analytical mindset paired with a solutions-oriented approach to challenges.
  • A self-starter mentality, capable of driving initiatives independently.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in business development or sales within the automotive or related industries.
  • A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
