Cloud Engineer (Wide Area Network and Technology) - Remote | Hybrid

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and driven Senior Technology Engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and maintain network connectivity services, including WAN backbone, global data center interconnects, cloud infrastructure, SD-WAN, and inter-business exchange connections. You will engage with advanced technologies to design, configure, install, and sustain network components, ensuring robust connectivity for our extensive workforce.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, configure, install, test, and maintain network infrastructure for both on-premises and cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Manage and troubleshoot network components, including switches, routers, firewalls, SD-WAN, and WAN protocols.
• Deploy network solutions to facilitate business applications across cloud, global WAN, core data centers, remote offices, and B2B connections.
• Ensure network reliability and performance through diligent monitoring, proactive issue identification, and timely resolution.
• Develop operational plans that align with strategic technology objectives.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of network infrastructure and configurations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance network automation and optimize overall efficiency.
• Provide third-level support for network-related issues and troubleshooting.
• Research, assess, and recommend new technologies to refine network solutions.
• Present findings and updates to technical teams and senior management.
  
  

Required Skills

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in technology, specifically network engineering and infrastructure.
• Preferred: Over 5 years of experience in network engineering.
• In-depth knowledge of infrastructure technologies encompassing networks, databases, servers, and storage.
• Proven ability to provide technical direction to project teams.
• Strong grasp of IT infrastructure, operating systems, and software.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and security best practices.
