Key Responsibilities
- Conduct timely penetration tests on diverse applications to uncover and rectify security vulnerabilities.
- Execute both remote and onsite assessments of systems, networks, and applications to identify weaknesses.
- Analyze assessment findings, formulate risk mitigation strategies, and generate actionable reports.
- Provide strategic recommendations to enhance security and mitigate risks effectively.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ascertain testing requirements and establish comprehensive testing plans.
- Innovate and develop new testing methodologies, scripts, and tools to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Manage and oversee the data collection infrastructure, including the deployment and maintenance of Splunk Universal Forwarder (UF) instances.
- Administer syslog servers to facilitate data collection from various infrastructure systems, such as firewalls and IDS.
- Implement Splunk HTTP event collectors for seamless integration with custom applications.
- Enhance syslog aggregation processes for improved availability and storage.
- Expand log source collection capabilities and create custom scripts for integration with non-standard products.
- Extensive experience as a Splunk Administrator (minimum of 3 years).
- Proven expertise in penetration testing (at least 4 years).
- Solid experience in conducting risk assessments (minimum of 3 years).
- In-depth knowledge of NIST 800-53 standards, with a minimum of 3 years of practical application.
- Background in security awareness and vulnerability management (at least 2 years).
- Collaborative experience working within a team environment (minimum of 4 years).
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field is preferred.
