Job Overview

We invite skilled Cybersecurity Engineers to apply for the role of Cybersecurity Engineer 3, a remote position focused on advancing our cybersecurity initiatives. As a pivotal member of our team, you will collaborate with IT professionals to perform penetration testing, oversee Splunk infrastructure management, and implement essential security solutions, thereby playing a crucial role in safeguarding our systems and data integrity.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute timely and efficient penetration tests on various applications and systems.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, both remotely and on-site, to identify and address potential security vulnerabilities.
• Analyze vulnerabilities and propose effective mitigation strategies to enhance cybersecurity.
• Deliver detailed reports outlining findings, associated risks, and actionable security recommendations.
• Advise stakeholders on security best practices to mitigate potential risks.
• Collaborate closely with IT teams to ascertain testing requirements and ensure rigorous assessments.
• Innovate and implement new methods, scripts, and tools for penetration testing to improve efficiency.
• Manage and deploy the Splunk infrastructure, ensuring accurate data collection across all systems.
• Oversee server management for the distribution of Splunk Universal Forwarder (UF) instances and configure syslog servers for data collection from key infrastructure components.

• Demonstrated expertise in penetration testing and cybersecurity engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Splunk, with experience in deployment, management, and customizing data collection.
• Ability to develop scripts and tools for both penetration testing and data collection purposes.
• Familiarity with security protocols, systems, and frameworks relevant to cybersecurity.
• Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to fulfill security requirements.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for risk assessment and mitigation.

• Proven experience in penetration testing and cybersecurity engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience in a remote work setting is advantageous.
• Knowledge of web application security (e.g., Java, .NET, JavaScript) is a valuable asset.
