Key Responsibilities

- Provide comprehensive electrical design and consulting services, concentrating on substation design and protection/control systems for utility clients.
- Direct design efforts adhering to industry standards, which include engineering design, drawing development, procurement management, contract preparation, construction oversight, and technical review execution.
- Collaborate with construction teams to guarantee that projects align with design specifications.
- Conduct site visits as necessary to monitor construction progress and ensure compliance with design requirements and industry standards.
- Ensure quality assurance by reviewing the work of team members, ensuring adherence to engineering principles, client specifications, and relevant standards.
- Work in conjunction with colleagues across various departments to achieve optimal outcomes for clients.

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within the utility industry, specializing in substation engineering and design.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license or the capability to acquire licensure in applicable states.
- In-depth knowledge of power system planning, protection, design, and operational procedures.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards as well as various electrical codes.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate within diverse teams.
- Willingness to travel for client interactions, site assessments, and construction inspections (occasional overnight travel may be necessary).
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related area of study.
- At least 5 years of experience in substation engineering and design within the utility sector.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license or the potential to obtain it.
