Key Responsibilities

- Provide a comprehensive range of electrical design and consulting services for utility clients, with a primary focus on substation design and protection/control systems.
- Oversee design services in accordance with industry standards, encompassing engineering design, drawing development, procurement management, contract preparation, construction oversight, and technical reviews.
- Collaborate closely with construction teams to guarantee that projects are executed per design specifications.
- Conduct site visits to supervise construction activities and ensure compliance with design standards and industry regulations.
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality outcomes by reviewing and monitoring the work of others, adhering to engineering principles, client requirements, and applicable specifications.
- Engage with colleagues across various departments to achieve optimal results for our clients.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a relevant field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in the utility sector, specifically in substation engineering and design.
- Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license or the capability to obtain licensure in necessary states.
- In-depth knowledge of power system planning, protection, design, and operations.
- Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and MS Word.
- Familiarity with NEC, IEEE, and ANSI standards as well as electrical codes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within diverse teams.
- Willingness to travel as necessary for client meetings, site visits, and construction inspections (occasional overnight travel may be required).
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or a related discipline.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or the potential to acquire licensure in the required states.
- At least 5 years of proven experience in the utility industry, with an emphasis on substation engineering and design.
