Key Responsibilities
- Lead the implementation of school mental health programs, managing a portfolio of 15-20 districts and providing continual consultation and support throughout various phases of program execution.
- Collaborate with district teams to develop customized, data-driven strategic plans aimed at enhancing mental health practices, programming, and policies across the district.
- Utilize your expertise in school mental health to assist districts in crafting effective communication strategies that engage the wider community and foster support for mental health initiatives.
- Guide districts through the processes of data collection, assessment protocols, and ongoing evaluation to assess the effectiveness of mental health programs.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with district leaders to promote collaboration and ensure the success of initiatives.
- A Master’s degree in education, educational leadership, counseling, psychology, social work, or a related discipline (LPC, MSW, MPH, MED, or early to mid-career PhD candidates are encouraged to apply).
- A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in PK-12 education systems, including direct leadership in school mental health or related fields.
- Comprehensive knowledge of school-based mental health, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), suicide prevention, and substance use prevention strategies.
- Strong familiarity with district-level operations, systems, and data, particularly within the Mountain West region.
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and work collaboratively with district leaders on mental health programming.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capability to develop actionable strategies based on data.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to prepare reports and present to diverse audiences, including large groups and senior leadership.
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills, evidenced by a history of cultivating successful partnerships.
- Experience with CRM and project management software, such as Salesforce, is advantageous.
