Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive behavioral health evaluations and facilitate individual, group, and family therapy for clients in an outpatient context.
- Engage in collaborative discussions with healthcare providers within and beyond our organization to formulate treatment plans and monitor client progress.
- Coordinate with psychiatric consultants to obtain diagnostic support and manage medication needs as necessary.
- Actively participate in clinical team meetings, contributing valuable insights on client care dynamics.
- Uphold productivity standards while delivering exceptional, compassionate care.
- Create a nurturing and secure environment where clients feel comfortable expressing their emotions and gaining insights into their relationships.
- Implement crisis interventions and conduct thorough safety assessments concerning self-harm, homicide, or domestic violence issues.
- Assist clients in developing effective coping mechanisms and strategies for overcoming personal challenges.
- Formulate and revise treatment plans in accordance with clinical expertise, ensuring compliance with state and regulatory requirements.
- Assess client progress and modify treatment strategies to align with evolving needs and circumstances.
- Guide family members in understanding their role in supporting clients on their path to recovery.
- Stay updated on advancements in the behavioral health field and integrate best practices into client care.
- Identify and connect clients to community mental health resources to enhance therapeutic support.
- Valid CT LCSW, LPC, or LMFT license issued by the Department of Public Health (DPH).
- Proficiency in both communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to perform crisis interventions and evaluate safety concerns.
- Familiarity with community mental health resources.
- Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
- Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related discipline.
- Experience in conducting therapeutic sessions and behavioral health evaluations.
- Understanding of outpatient settings and community resource integration.
- Prior experience in crisis management and safety assessment.
